Fukuda Denshi was delighted to sponsor Eikon, a local Charity, in their 15 Peaks 24 Hour Challenge. The 15 Peaks is one of the UK’s toughest walking challenges. It examines the fitness, stamina and endurance of each individual and each team they are part of. The Challenge covers all 15 peaks in Northern Snowdonia that are over 3000ft in height. It requires a walk of some 30 miles including over 14,000ft of ascent and descent within 24hrs. Fukuda’s sponsorship included covering the hire cost of the event vehicles and providing each of the organising and support team with an event branded waterproof jacket. In addition, Matthew from the Fukuda team entered with 5 friends who collectively raised over £3,000 towards the work of the charity. Eikon Director, Chris Hickford said “we are so grateful to Fukuda for partnering us in our flagship fundraising event. When the atrocious weather hit, it was important that we had enough vehicles in the area to ensure everyone was off the mountain safely and as quickly as possible. It was also vital that the support team had quality jackets that stood up to the task.
