GENERAL INFORMATION:
Fukuda Denshi held its first symposium on arterial stiffness at the ESC in September 2015. The event was a great success with keynote speakers from across Europe detailing their experience of the Cardio-Ankle Vascular Index (CAVI), and the VaSera device. The arterial stiffness index CAVI is becoming increasingly used in Europe following its introduction in Japan almost a decade ago.

Speakers at the event included Professor Athanase Benetos (Nancy, France), Professor Bryan Williams (University College London, UK), Professor Giuseppe Schillaci (Perugia, Italy), and Professor Kohji Shirai (Chiba, Japan). The event was chaired by Professor Roland Asmar (Paris, France) and Professor Magnus Bäck (Karolinska, Sweden).
